Madrid
Parque del Retiro
In the eighteenth century, when it was created, the Parque del Retiro served as a private park for the Spanish kings and their families, but now it is open to the public, and very popular with Madrileños especially during the summer.
One corner of
the park is the Royal Botanical Gardens.
This glass and
steel structure was built as an exhibition hall.
