Welcome to Brian, Joe, and Matt's
Trip to Catalonia in 2010

Catalonia is located in the northeast corner of Spain. Unlike the rest of Spain, people speak the Catalan language. Once part of the medieval kingdom of Aragon, there is a strong nationalistic spirit among the Catalans, few of whom think of themselves as Spanish and many of whom strive for an independent nation. The donkey is the symbol of Catalonia and its flag has red and yellow stripes.
