Burgos

Burgos was the capital of the medieval kingdom of Castille and Leon throughout the Middle Ages. So several important historical events occurred here. It is also associated with the Spanish hero, El Cid, who lived here early on in his career. The evening we arrived, a medieval festival was being held in the streets around the cathedral.
