Our First Week's House
in Condé-sur-Risle

We spent the first week in a charming little cottage in the woods in Normandy.
It was about an hour's drive from most of the sights we wanted to see, so was ideally located.

The rhododendrons in the yard were in full bloom while we were there.

It was a beautiful old house with old beamed ceilings and built around a central fireplace.

It has a nice view over the nearby valley of the river Risle, and outdoor areas for us to relax at the end of the day.

Its design was very typical of traditional Norman architecture, as you also
see in this barn near the house, with thatched roof and post-and-beam walls.

It was a great house!
